McQueen Facebook page just shared this video, I love the abstract details it shows you on the dresses, in particular the small silver spikes that look like flowers half way through the video.

My final CAD boards for the Little Black Dress project, using the actual fabric swatches for my dress designs. I thoroughly enjoyed using Adobe Illustrator and have started using it for my other projects to do my flat drawings.

This was the beginning of my jacket, from drafting up a new pattern, to battling with the very stiff and structured fabric and staring to sew on hundreds of coque feathers. I did originally want my jacket to be more rounded as it came round to the armholes, but I still think it has the same effect.
Still got a long way to go ...

These are my 2 final boards for the CAAD project on Adobe Illustrator. However these images are JPEG'S, so the quality has decreased a bit, but my final boards will be printed from PDF files.
I am happy with how they have turned out, considering I didn't have too much knowledge of Illustrator, there are a lot of little changes I would make if I had more time.
Maybe I could include a figure on the boards?

Absolutely in love with Chinese designer Geo Pei, her designs are phenomenal! I would love to have the oppurtunity to design clothes along this sort of line, one of, bespoke crazy pieces. Maybe if I am accepted into Northumbria University I could look into going into a placement with a similar sort of designer. This collection will be on my mind every time I am designing now.

My leather pattern pieces for the Steampunk project
This will be the fabric for my bodice. It will take an awfully long time to sew up!

I was shown this video at my last college, Tyne Met, as part of a project which required further look into the fashion industry and how you can interlink different areas of the creative field. For example, Gareth Pugh's collection was turned into a very disturbing video which would link to the animation and film studies industry.
After researching into Gareth Pugh for my last collection which was inspired by Architecture, I came across this video again and looked at it in a new light. I still think it is very disturbing, but the way the clothes move and how it is all very monochromatic, I now look at it for inspiration most of the time when trying to design for darker pieces that will move beautifully.
